Masai Mara I
Honeymoon - Day 2
We arrived at the Mara Simba Lodge just after noon. The first safari was scheduled to start at 4pm! I didn't know what to expect, but was very excited to experience something wonderfully new!
Our transformed vehicle! The guide called it a "pop-up roof", which he basically pushed the roof up so that we could stand inside the vehicle to watch the wildlife without any obstructions.
The lodge is situated inside of the national park, so it didn't take more than 5 minutes to reach the gate. Passport is required for the first visit. It took 15 long minutes to register us. The suspense was killing us!
Soon after we entered the park we saw a leopard. Well, a sleeping leopard on a tree called "African sausage" 😄

On the way back...
The two hour game drive has passed quickly and we were due to go back to the lodge before it's dark...I tell myself not to be sad because the best is yet to come! :)
